lost on you

Italy 2021

Quadriptych – 160 x 180

Chinese paper, acryl, graphite, fabric, on ancient wooden window shutter.

In the last years of my creative research, and long before becoming a mother, children are the center around which all my work grows. They are the most spontaneous, emotional, expressive, unfiltered subject that fascinates and captivates me. They’re so armless, curious, genuine, naive without filters. I can see their feelings permeates  the faces, bodies, movements. I like to capture those instant, and work on them creating a plot, embroidering a personal story on them.

Here, every single shutter, every single frame, can be read individually, yet each one seems connected to the other. Everyone can interpret a personal story, as in those silent books for children, where they themselves must, looking at the images, invent a story to tell.
